Mr. Joven “Vini” Maranan

Vini Maranan is a Research Analyst at the Potomac Foundation, where he supports research on Sino-Philippine relations.

Mr. Maranan obtained his M.A. in History at the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2016. His thesis, “Countdown to Martial Law: The U.S.-Philippine Relationship, 1969-1972,” focuses on tacit U.S. approval for Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos’ declaration of martial law.
