The Potomac Foundation and the Casimir Pulaski Foundation hosted their first joint Baltic Security Scenario Simulation in Warsaw, Poland on January 23-26, 2017.
The purpose of this wargaming initiative is to assist the Polish national security decision-makers in the development of a regional and NATO accepted understanding of the nature of the Russian military threat to the Baltic States and Poland.

On November 16, 2017, the Baltic Defence College held a trilateral meeting of the Commandant of the Baltic Defence College Gen Maj. Andis Dilāns, the Commandant of the Estonian National Defence College (ENDC) Lt Col Enno Mõts and Dr. Phillip A. Petersen – Vice President for Studies at the Potomac Foundation.

Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of National Defence, Tomasz Szatkowski, took part in the European-American Security Workshop organized jointly by the Latvian Ministry of Defence and the Potomac Foundation. The main theme of the workshops was the implementations of the decisions made during the Warsaw NATO Summit in regards to the defense strategy in the Baltic Sea region.

“Unpredictable and unstable is the new normal,” said Lt. Gen. Mary Legere, who moderated an Institute of Land Warfare Contemporary Military Forum titled “Threats in a Complex World.”
